TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY - SEPTEMBER 30

On September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Canadians learn, recognize and reflect upon the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, the trauma experienced by many, and the hope for a healthy future. The day emphasizes the ongoing need for reconciliation, and building and strengthening relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Canmore Skating Club programs are not being held on this day.

BANFF CHRISTMAS MARKET VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP. SHIFTS NOV 14 - DEC 8

Dear Canmore Skating Club program skater:

The Banff and Canmore Skating Clubs have been given a great fundraising opportunity working the entry gate for the Banff Christmas Market. (Follow link and check it out if you are unfamiliar with the event.)

NEW location this year, at the Banff Heritage Train Station, the dates are Nov 14-17, Nov 22-24, Nov 29 - Dec 1 and Dec 6-8.  The tasks are to greet people, scan tickets, and help out at the entry gates in general. The clubs are responsible for filling all 75+ shifts but it is well worth our time.

This is a great place for some Christmas shopping too!

Here's the Sign Up Genius link: 2024 Holiday Market Volunteer Sign-Up
