CanSkate (learn to skate) Program Registration
Fall session begins October 2, 2023 and concludes on December 14, 2023 with participation in the Winter Gala. Two CanSkate programs are being offered this season - Mondays from 6:15-7:00pm and Thursdays from 4:45-5:30pm. Skaters may register for one or both times. Registration will open soon.
No class Monday, October 9 (Thanksgiving Day).
Winter session begins January 8, 2024 and runs until March 21, 2023 with participation in the Club's biennial Ice Show.
No class Monday, February 19 or Thursday, February 22 (Family Day week).
IMPORTANT: Please read our Programming page for information about Skate Canada's CanSkate program. Minimum age and skill levels have been developed along with parental registration and supervision requirements.
Minimum Skater Requirement: If this is the student’s first year on skates they must be four (4) years of age or older. Three-year olds may register if they have achieved CanSkate “Badge 1 Balance” (generally speaking, “Badge 1 Balance” means the skater can move around the ice without support and get themselves up onto their feet after a fall unassisted. You will receive a warning that the skater does not meet the age requirement when you register.)
2-Day Discount: receive a 10% discount if a skater registers for both the Monday and Thursday programs in the same session. (Must be in same shopping cart.)
Family Discount: receive a 5% discount on all regular Fall/Winter season programs in your shopping cart if 2 or more family members register at the same time.
NOTES:
The Canmore Skating Club reserves the right to cancel programs with insufficient enrollment.
