  When you sign up for a program at a Skate Canada member club, you automatically become a member of Skate Canada, the National Organization. You are assigned a unique member number that is yours for life.

  The Skate Canada Fees are annual, non-refundable fees which are collected by the member club who then submits the fees to Skate Canada. 

  The Skate Canada Fees are included in the $70 owed at the time of registration and includes the following:

  1. Registration Fee of $56 which is submitted to Skate Canada.
  2. Accident Liability Fee of $0.65 which is submitted to Skate Canada
  3. Safe Sport Fee of $5 which is submitted to Skate Canada. This fee is new starting in the 2016-2017 season.
  4. Club Annual Membership Fee - this amounts to the remainder of the $70 and is not submitted to Skate Canada. 

  Some benefits of the Skate Canada membership fees include:

  1. Substantially lower accident insurance costs.
  2. Access to Skate Canada programs and materials.
  3. Opportunity to participate in inter-club & invitational competitions.
  4. Special member prices from the on-line store.

  6. National registry of tests and results (for qualifying events) held in a central computerized system for easy access.
  7. Elite athlete and skater development funding & programs.
