Caitlin McLeod

I began skating at the age of 4 and quickly fell in love with the sport. At 9, I joined my club’s first synchronized skating team and was instantly hooked. Over the years, I continued to pursue synchro while also training in singles, developing a strong foundation in skating skills, edges, and overall technique.

I competed nationally and had the incredible opportunity to travel across Canada with synchro—experiences that deepened my passion for the sport. As I grew older, I began assistant coaching and spent many years teaching CanSkate, helping young skaters develop their skills and confidence on the ice. Through these experiences, I discovered how much I enjoy teaching group classes and helping skaters build strong fundamentals, particularly in edge quality, skating skills, and control. I also love teaching performance, encouraging skaters to develop their confidence, expression, and ability to connect with the music while bringing their own personality to the ice.

While I love working with skaters of all levels and helping them grow both technically and artistically, synchronized skating has always held a special place in my heart. In 2025, I completed the Regional Coaching Course to further pursue my dream of coaching synchro teams and sharing the joy, teamwork, and connection that make this discipline so special. I look forward to helping skaters grow in their individual abilities, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for skating.
