Steps in a Coach Assessed Assessment (STAR 1-5 and Skills)

  1. Coach informs skaters and parents of an appropriate assessment date along with associated assessment fees.
  2. The Skate Canada portion of the fee is to be paid through the skater's Uplifter account.  

     

    • Go to https://canmoresc.uplifterinc.com/ and login to your account. 
    • Once in, click on "SHOPPING CART" at the top of the screen.
    • Under "1. Your Cart (0)" there is a "Purchase Products" button. Click it.
    • You'll then see "Skate Canada Assessment Fee - STAR". Enter the number of assessments to be tried (QTY) and click "ADD"
    • Complete the form, one per assessment, selecting NEXT in between each. Purchasing For: (select skater's name from drop down if applicable); Assessment being tried; Coach; Expected assessment date; Skate Canada Number. Click "ADD"
    • Click on your "SHOPPING CART" again and complete payment.

     

  3. Once payment is received by the Club, the coach and assessment coordinator are notified.
  4. Coach conducts the assessment.
  5. Coach discusses the result with the skater.
  6. Skater keeps the bottom portion of the assessment sheet.
  7. Assessment coordinator submits the assessments results to Skate Canada electronically (once a month) and files the top portion of the assessment sheets in Club records.
  8. Skaters are responsible for checking that their achievements are correctly captured on Skate Canada’s website (instructions).
