We are excited to be able to offer our Canskate Program this year!  Thursdays only with a maximum number of 30 skaters. If you are keen for two days of skating, please visit the Banff Skating Club website as they are offering their Canskate Program on Mondays.

We would also like to extended a warm welcome to our new Canskate Program Coordinator, Mykenzie Toffan! Mykenzie has been coaching in Banff for a few years now and has run several Canskate Programs in other parts of Alberta.

Please refer to the CanSkate program description on our Programming page before registering as much has changed since the spring!

Dear Skating Families,

I hope you are all settling into the new skating season. Obviously many changes have been observed within our club and the arena, due to COVID-19.

Currently the coaches are the only ones allowed to play music for your skaters' programs; as you can imagine, they get interrupted quite a bit. In order to help, the board thought it would be very helpful if parents could volunteer to play music and remind skaters and coaches to complete the Contact Tracing Attendance sheet. As there are no spectators allowed in the arena, this is a great way to watch your child while keeping everyone safe. Below is a link via SignUpGenius where you can sign up to be the volunteer music player. It is labelled by date and session. You can sign up for just one event or multiple, as you wish.

We would also take this opportunity to remind you that you must complete the Assumption of Risk and Waiver, if you haven't already done so.

We truly appreciate your help with everything you do for your skaters and for the club.

We make this acknowledgement in the spirit of respect, reconciliation and gratitude to the people of Treaty 7 - the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Wesley), and the Métis Nation (Region 3) - on whose territory we are so fortunate to live, work, learn and play.
